David E. Scalf, Jr. AIA
Architect & Director of Design Technology
David Scalf has been responsible for design, production, project management, and management of office CAD/BIM standards since joining HCI in 2008. Performing in the capacity of Architect and Project Manager on both historic adaptive re-use projects as well as new construction, David has extensive working knowledge of all phases of the architectural delivery process from pre-design to project close-out, with particular emphasis on efficiency of production delivery and technology. His clients span both private sector developers and municipal on projects ranging from commercial, single and multifamily residential, hospitality, retail, and parking facilities.
Most recently, David completed the design of the newly constructed dual branded Hyatt Place / Hyatt House hotel in downtown Tampa and the Homewood Suites French Quarter in New Orleans. Other recent projects include the historic adaptive re-use of Hibernia Tower, Blue Plate Artist Lofts, Standard Life, Renovation of Hyatt Centric French Quarter, Parking facilities at Hibernia and Aloft New Orleans, as well as multiple smaller tenant build out projects.
