David Abbenante, CPM

With over 30 years of experience in property, asset and facility management, David joined the HRI team from First Commerce Corp. where he was the corporate facility director responsible for over 1 million square feet of corporate-occupied office space and 120 retail bank facilities located throughout the state of Louisiana. Prior to his role with First Commerce Corporation, he worked with Stirling Properties, a Louisiana-based leader in commercial retail development, management and leasing, and Latter and Blum Property Management, the largest third-party property management firm in the Gulf South, and managed a diverse portfolio of office, retail and multifamily developments throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.

David joined the HRI team in 2006 and spent several years working as a development project manager and asset manager. In 2010, he became President of HRI Management and oversees all multifamily and commercial leasing and management for both HRI-owned and third-party managed assets. He is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and previously served as the President of the Louisiana chapter. He is a past President of the Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans and also serves as member of its board.
