HRI Communities sits at the core of what HRI does, transforming underutilized buildings and areas into places where people want to live, work, play and stay. Using our vertically integrated approach, we revitalize neighborhoods and build sustainable communities – it’s what HRI has been doing for 40 years -- from artist lofts that infuse energy and creativity promoting economic development to mixed‐income and senior housing that improve neighborhoods and address critical needs.

At the heart of HRI Communities’ mission is investing in underserved communities. Using sustainable building practices, we create high‐quality, mixed‐income, senior and affordable housing. Through HRI Management and our construction partners, our developments become springboards for job creation and training. Turning job opportunities into career ladders is among the ways we are advancing our collaboration with the National Cities Fund, HRI’s own CDE, to ensure that our communities prosper and thrive.
