Please join me in congratulating Patrick J. Sorge on his appointment to General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hyatt House Tampa. Patrick officially joins HRI on August 17, 2020.
Patrick joins us from Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Chicago, Illinois, where he worked in several executive positions for 12 years. Patrick began at Hyatt Corporate as Regional Director of Field Marketing, Northeast/Mid-Atlantic. During this time, Patrick excelled as providing strategic guidance on brand, competitive positioning, budgets and integrated sales, and marketing planning to 25+ properties. Most recently, Patrick served as Regional Vice President Sales & Marketing. It was in this role where Patrick created pre-opening and re-branding sales, marketing, and revenue strategies in collaboration with owners, franchisee management companies, and internal stakeholders. This experience is crucial in Patrick’s role as General Manager while we open Hyatt Place Hyatt House Tampa.
Prior to Patrick’s experience with Hyatt Corporation in Chicago, he has held several executive leadership positions across the United States including Pennsylvania, New York & Massachusetts. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Niagara University, as well as an Associate B.A. Liberal Arts/Humanities and Social Science from Niagara County Community College.
